Love the Hippocket WIFI services and devices when I travel anywhere in Europe. When compared to what Verizon Wireless would charge me for service overseas, their daily rental rates are great. They provide everything you need to have high speed connectivity for any device in your pocket while travelling abroad. Their kits arrive at your house (or wherever you choose) with everything you need a few days before your rental usage starts including the hot spot device, charging cable, locally compatible plug, carrying case, and prepaid return envelope. The connectivity is reliable in both Italy and France. Their customer service team is friendly, helpful, and fluent in English (my French and Italian are terrible!). 🙂 I definitely recommend Hippocket WIFI.

Great service! Device was delivered to our hotel in Bergen and was ready for use upon arrival. It worked almost flawlessly our entire time in Norway (with the exception of some really remote spots). The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is the return process. I assumed that paying extra for the return from home service would include a physical return label and not just the envelope. Our local FedEx would not print the label we were emailed without a QR code and the closest “print center” is almost an hour from where we live. I found the process very tedious, but it will not stop us from using this service in the future.

We had planned to use our e-Sim until we arrived in the UK and found out our phone were locked, and that an e-Sim will not work nor could we even purchase a local SIM because there is no place to insert one in the new iPhone. Hippocket saved our trip by sending one right away! We use it daily mulitple times, and the connection was great! Just something for other users to aware of: at Gatwick airport the letter boxes will not accept the pre paid return package as they only accept letters. So if you are flying out of Gatwick you need to return the device before you get to the airport. This may possibly be true for other airports also. Renting a vacation home in a small town in lovely Provence/France we knew in advance that we would be without internet connectivity apart from the service our smartphone provider was willing to deliver – and that was not nearly what we needed. Doing some research on the internet we came across HippocketWiFi, offering the exact service we were looking for. Ordering unlimited service via their home page for a two week stay in France including the mobile router device was easy and the package arrived two days ahead of our departure from Germany. After crossing the border to France we activated the router and found to be connected to the internet w/o any further intervention or configuration effort. At our rental in the remote location we were able to use all the services we had hoped for, including HD video streaming and some other bandwidth demanding applications – stunning ! Even better, with our bicycles we went on extended tours through remote areas and we needed network-dependant navigation to find our way. The HippocketWiFi router never lost connectivity with the mobile provider such that navigation through areas we were not familiar with became a no-brainer. This little device and the related service turned out to become a major factor for a phantastic vacation and we really recommend it to anyone who wants/needs to stay connected at all times.

I used Hippocketwfi during the interval – after I disconnected my home wifi service in Spain, and then when I got to Germany, during the time I was waiting to have my new wifi service installed. The device was sent to me in Spain, and I returned it from Germany. All I had to do was put it in the envelope provided and take it to the post office. The device worked well, speed was fine. I chose the unlimited plan as both my husband and myself like to stream videos. I would recommend this service. (Edit): I’ve now moved back to Spain from Germany and again used Hippocketwifi during the transition – after disconnecting my German internet service, and while waiting for the installation in Spain. The service was great and the wifi worked fine for temporary internet access (including streaming of movies). I’ve been very satisfied with this company and would use them again.

We travel abroad fairly regularly and have always struggled with trying to keep our data as low as possible so that we don’t run out in an emergency. This year we decided to try a hotspot rental from Hippocket. The process could not have been more simple. The instructions that came with the unit were simple and easy to follow. There was a great carrying case with everything we needed including customer support info and an emergency SIM card. The unit was tiny and lightweight enough to fit in my smallest bag. It worked wonderfully and gave us wifi everywhere we went. 100% will use again and recommend to friends. We are planning a trip on a canal boat in England this summer. Last time we did this, we struggled with the lack of wifi even though we were told the boats had wifi. Hippocket will make checking email and planning for our stops in towns (checking times and menus at pubs, etc) so much easier! The unit came with a return envelope and I simply emailed the company for a label to put on it when I got home. 100% recommend.

The Hippocket team were very helpful in trying to sort it out and offered a unit swap. After a couple of emails they identified a problem with the local transmitter. We rented a pocket Wi-Fi for use for our week long Paris vacation instead of an international calling plan. So happy we made this choice! We saved a lot of money by using Wi-Fi calling. We also had Wi-Fi on all of our devices wherever we went, and never had problems with spotty service – even at Disneyland Paris. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again.

You turn it on, connect to it with all of your devices, and from then on you are connected to Wifi wherever you are, even while walking around and taking public transportation. Here are some tips: 1. To connect, you do not select from Wifi providers listed. You have to select “other providers”, then enter the name of the Hippocket Wifi network listed on the back of the device, along with the password supplied. You only have to do this once for each device. 2. The device needs to be recharged. Best to recharge daily. 3. The plug supplied with the device fit the plugs here in Vienna just fine, so there was no need to use an accessory plug.

I connected two phones and a laptop computer to it with no problem. Since I used the hotspot almost all day, a spare battery was useful. I dropped the hotspot in a pre-addressed envelope at the post office in the Lisbon airport before my return flight.

I know people like their Sim cards, but this has been the most reliable product I have found. They do provide an emergency sim card in the package, but you won’t need it. We have used Hippocketwifi since 2019 and love it. 10/10 Every trip we take you Europe this device is in our pocket. I prefer using the mifi device instead of finding SIM cards and trying to get the best deal in each city. The Hippocket data packages range from low to unlimited depending on your needs, so it’s customizable. Delivery to the USA is quick, easy and on time. They deliver about a week before your trip so you don’t have to stress about it at the last minute. Recently I had an issue with delivery in California and the resolution was incredible. Dara in customer service immediately responded to my email and set up a new delivery to my hotel in New York, she even called to hotel herself to be sure delivery was allowed. My issue was solved in two emails and was not stressful at all. It works all over Europe, we’ve never run into a connection issue. The battery holds a charge for the whole day of using maps, uploading to Instagram and google searching. The device itself is small and easy to carry in your purse or pocket. They provide you with a European charger also so you don’t need a US/ Europe adapter. When you land in a new city the device takes about two minutes to find the service carrier and then you’re up and running ready to explore, research and upload worry free. We have even uploaded full YouTube videos using the data with no problems. Returning the item is the easiest part. They send you a return envelope already pre paid! I have returned from UK, France, Portugal and the US, simply find the appropriate parcel box and you’re on your way. The return instruction will even tell you sometimes exactly what the box looks like and where you can/can’t drop it. ie: in London the airport mailboxes are too small you have to drop in the city boxes. Upon arriving in the UK, turned the device on and NEVER had any issues with connection. Also took it to France and other parts of Europe with no interruption at all. I highly recommend this pocket wifi for traveling throughout Europe. It held it’s charge all day and we had multiple devices connected to it while we roamed around. Their customer service is impeccable, super helpful and accommodating for requests and changes. Even when the pocket wifi got lost in the mail during the return, they were super communicative, patient, and understanding. It eventually made it back but took a few months because I sent it back from the United States when I definitely should’ve sent it back while still in Europe. Either way, I will absolutely use this pocket wifi again for our next trip to Europe.

I didn’t want to search/connect to random public wi-fi. This was seamless! Because the CDG pickup location was closed (not the fault of HPWF), they delivered it to my hotel. Sending it back was easy too in the provided envelope. I left it at our hotel’s front desk. I ordered a Hippocket wifi system from Canada and it was waiting for us in Lyon when we arrived at our hotel. The setup was simple, it functioned perfectly and was absolutely indispensable throughout France. The costs are reason and the speed was often far faster than we get in Canada. I would recommend it to any travellers who do not have a data plan that works in Europe in fact it was much cheaper than any roaming package we could have got from our Canadian telecom.
Too bad we don’t have a similar system in North America.
